John Davis Studio 

Living in far west Texas has had a profound effect on John Davis' pottery. The rugged beauty and history of the Big Bend region helped inspire John's Raku line. Inspiration comes from both the mountainous beauty, and the rich history associated with the area. John's virtuosity ranges from the elegant to the playful as he expresses himself through the medium of clay and color. His raku selection offers the elegant with vases and candlesticks in the rich, warm colors that can only be achieved with the raku technique. John's playful side shines with his unique rattles. The earthly raku collection has a variety of shapes and embossments which include the inspiring dragonfly image. The angel collection sets a peaceful tone in ivory with exquisite detailing. Both styles have become favorites at Artisan's.
